YOU DIED ON A SATURDAY MORNING
Forrest Gump has and will always be a completely timeless film. Despite hundreds of screenings, there is such a tenderness and authenticity to
the scene in which Gump speaks to Jenny’s grave that brings me to tears every time. The monologue showcases the sweet innocence that he embodies throughout the film so well while simultaneously highlighting the heartbreak and growth he experienced in the loss of his wife.
For this project, I chose to create a book depicting this monologue using hand done lettering, illustrated object composition, and small flourishes that relate to each character mentioned
